Bet you wish you were a Dickinson Jr. alum!

Had you gone to Dickinson Jr. High with the class of 1956 you could have been there when the classmates cut this cake! Thanks to Linda Rogers Chambers and Anne Johnson the Dickinson class is willing to share this virtual cake.

Here are the purveyors of cake: Linda Rogers Chambers and Betty Anderson Dunn

Here are special memories

 Hey Alvin Fox,

I don't know anything about the network that I just clicked on to be
connected to you, but you know already that you and I are connected! We
share some wonderful experiences, and they just keep coming! I did enjoy
seeing you last Sunday at the Dickinson reunion.

Wasn't the Dickinson '56 reunion outstanding! Sandy Wooten Wright, Nancy
Gordon Griffith, Betty Anderson Dunn, Linda Rogers Chambers and Sharon
Barker Tunnell rolled out the red carpet for us. This morning I looked at
the Dickinson memory book and drank coffee from the Dickinson mug. The after
glow is so sweet. I still find it surprising that becoming reacquainted with
school mates could be so much fun. Our lives are rich.

Love to all,
Anne Johnson
But wait --- there are more!

Nathan Pearlman is living his dream

Before (my bride) Wendy moved to Tampa in June, we talked about her signing up with a "traveling" company. In general you work a 13 week period, take a month or longer off, and then take another 13 week tour.

Wendy
decided she wanted to just stay and work in Tampa. Then she received a call about a 13 week or longer job in Anchorage, Ak, which is pretty much the only place where we would consider going. Anyway, she said "YES" and here we are in Anchorage Ak for our 13 week stay. I am absolutely living a life long dream and I am loving our stay here. I have absolutely no knowledge of why I am so fascinated with Ak, but I am and Wendy, who loves heat and hates cold, helped my wish come true by taking this job in Anchorage.

We will be leaving Ak on 11/28 and should get to Tn somewhere to the middle/latter part of Dec. I for sure will call when I have a better time so maybe we can have a lunch with anyone wanting to have lunch and visit for a few hours.

CHS '59ers Blog

Hi Dru,

We were on vacation to the Grand Canyon when the memory books were sent out.  Ours was held with our other mail until yesterday when we received our book.  We think it's just perfect, so you can add another yes vote to the survey.

Once again, thanks for all of your hard work for our class reunion, and after as well.

Regards,

James and Judy Steinmann

CHS '59ers: Get on track!] CHS 59 Photo

Hi Dru

Since receiving the Northside Jr. High class photo that Tom Wilson provided, I've been wondering if anyone had a photo of our 12th grade class picture that they would share.  I never saw one but I might not have ordered one if they were available.  I would appreciate seeing this photo if available.

Thanks,

Hi folks,
Does anyone else want a Memory Book? I have talked to Libby at Tucker Photography and she will make up one more batch of books if anyone else wants one. Let me know if you are interested. I think they are $25 plus $3 shipping and handling.

Jim,

Thanks for your note. I think that the book is fantastic. I can say
that because I had very little to do with it.

Susie Crouch did the lion's share of work on the Memory book. She had help
from others but she was the person who spent countless hours selecting the
best pictures to be included.

Anne-

It was a great book.  I sent extra copies to Richard King and also Joe Smith, who wound up actually graduating in 1958 but was in our class the whole time.  Jim Hilton

Message from Lee Reynolds

Dru, I've read with great sorrow and sympathy about Dan's situation and what both he and wife Carolyn are going through. I am very grateful to you and all concerned for keeping us posted on it. Has anyone heard how Judy Laubscher is doing? Judy was a friend of mine in high school and I was distressed to say the least about her own situation.
Thanks again for doing all this,
Delmar

Thanks to Reunion Committee

--- On Thu, 10/8/09, Lee Reynolds wrote:

Hi Carolyn Presswood,

The 50th Reunion book arrived here Tuesday and I want to thank the committee folks who chose Tucker Photography for their wise choice, for in my opinion, the book is beautifully and tastefully done.. I would also like to thank, with heartfelt gratitude, you and the entire rest of the reunion committee for their tireless work in making our 50th the resounding sucess it was. Our 50th high school Class Reunion qualifies as the DEFINITIVE reunion, as far as I'm concerned, and its success was due totally to the enthusiasm, energetic commitment, and tireless work of everybody who worked on it and made it possible. I thank everybody on the planning committee for all that they did..

If you can pass on to all the appropriate folks - maybe the whole class, come to think of it - how grateful I am for all that they did and continue to do, I'd appreciate it.

Best to you and to everybody,

Delmar
