I had not sent this in, but I was telling the Chattanooga lunch bunch about the really nice surprise party our sons and daughters-in-law gave for us on September 17 (My birthday is on the 18th.)
Gerry celebrated his 70th in May, but it was in the midst of mother's illness and passing and then summer was so hot we just had not gotten around to doing anything.
On the 17th, the family gave a great party for us and had so many of our friends through the years there. We were totally surprised, and our older son really "wove" a tale to get us there. We are somewhat still "reeling" from all of the fun.
Thanks for mentioning the big 70.
