Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association President Cindy Hale, left, presents the organization’s Panhellenic Woman of the Year award to Kappa Delta Nancy Wright Courtney. 


An active member of the AAPA since 1975, Nancy was recognized for promoting the Panhellenic spirit through her leadership as former Panhellenic treasurer, past member of the executive board and chairman of various committees through the years. 


Nancy also has led Kappa Delta at the local and national levels, beginning with collegiate chapter president at Beta Kappa-Tennessee/Chattanooga. 


She has served as president of the Greater Atlanta Day alumnae chapter and represented all five Atlanta-area alumnae chapters as Kappa Delta’s delegate to the Panhellenic Association. Nationally, 


Nancy previously served KD as collegiate province president and alumnae province president and was named in 1985 to the Order of the Emerald for her outstanding service to the sorority.
