Anne Johnson sends Linda Chambers' pictures from Chattanooga CHS '59er dinner 9/23/10
from Susie Crouch: "It was a really fun night. Thanks so much to Margaret and Louella for driving from Indy and Bill Cross from Sebring, Florida. It was great to see them as well as our "regulars."

Our table at Caesar's Bistro --- a place so nice we went twice! A soft guitar serenade for atmosphere; an Italian buffet: Does it get better than this?

CHS '59ers September luncheon
Hope to see everyone next Thursday, September 23, at 6:00 PM at Nikko's Southside Grill. Nikko's is located on Coward Street right off Market and there is plenty of parking space.
Let's have a big crowd to welcome Louella Spencer and Margaret Crosby since they are coming such a long distance just to be with us. We also want to give a big send-off to Kent and Eleanor Smith as they prepare to leave for Florida for the winter.
Susie Turner Crouch needs to hear from you if you plan to attend so that she can make reservations. Feel free to come with or without your spouse. Either way, you are guaranteed to have a fun time.

from Louella Cherry Spencer's trip to Ashville, NC
The Billy Graham Crusade Team together again
Cliff Barrows (Age 86), Billy Graham (Age 91), George Beverly Shea (Age 101).
Bill and I were at the Billy Graham Conference Center at The Cove, near Ashville, NC on August 31st when Billy Graham surprised the crowd and appeared at the conference center for the first time this year. We understand that he is unable get out very much any more. It was history in the making to see these three together again. All three still have sharp minds although their sight, hearing, and general physical conditions are deteriorating. We were 2nd row center and it was inspirational to hear them talk and sing. Bev can still belt out those songs. Cliff played the harmonica with Buddy Greene on Tuesday night, and John Innes played the piano for most meetings. John was the pianist at most of the crusades. Considering what these men accomplished over the last 60 years, we felt we were with real saints. It was an experience we will always remember.

'59ers Lunch Bunch from Linda Rogers Chambers
Left Side: Susie Turner Crouch, Linda Rogers Chambers, Barbara Dalton Warner Right Side: Gaynell Hixson Smith, Carolyn Thomas Presswood, Vicki Daniel White |
Here is a picture from our last '59ers lunch gathering at The Public House in Warehouse Row. We had a delightful lunch and lots of fun even though the group was small. All of the no-shows missed a great time.
Next month we will meet on the fourth Thursday of September in the evening. Louella Cherry Spencer and Margaret Llewellyn Crosby are coming in from out of town to be with us. Also, Kent and Eleanor Smith will be leaving for their winter residence in Florida shortly after that. This should be a great way to wind down our summer. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Look for a reminder closer to the date. Right now the plans are to gather at Nikko's.
