Wish you could have been here for lunch.  Here is a  picture of our group.  We had such fun.  We always meet the fourth  Thursday of the month.  We normally meet at lunch but we are going to have  a night dinner in May.  

We will gather at The Terminal at 6:00.   Please let either Susie Turner Crouch or me know if you plan to attend because  we will need to make reservations.  All classmates are invited and you are  welcome to bring your spouse if you would like.

CHS Chattanooga Lunch Bunch Meets April 22

A reminder that our Chattanooga Lunch Group will meet this Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Niko's Southside Grill at Noon.  Looking forward to seeing you all. 

 

Each month we have someone new join us.  This is lots of fun and those not attending are really missing out. 

 

We always meet on the fourth Thursday of the month but our location changes.  Please look for location each month on the blog but keep your calendars noted for the dates.

Thanks so much to all for your kind words of sympathy which Dina and I appreciate.  My mom was very much "with it" until the end.  She was indeed an exceptional woman and, as we have discovered, had soo many friends.  


An interesting fact for all CHS'ers - she too graduated from City and believe it or not, had some of the same teachers, such as Miss Patton for three years of Latin. Creed Bates was there as well.  She attended UC as did all her sisters, but unlike me, graduated in three years. Several of us were also married in the Patton Chapel. 


Dru, your comments regarding mothers, certainly apply to many of us.  I too, will so miss talking with her on a daily basis and sharing with her as well as receiving advice, wisdom and thoughts on so many subjects and I don't expect this will ever cease. 

On a lighter note , Dru, I want to wish you, although perhaps belated, a very special birthday.  After all, you are quite a special person!  I can't begin to thank you for your efforts in keeping "the blog" alive.  I feel it's certainly a thread that holds us all together in these later years when such contacts are genuinely appreciated by so many of us.  


I do wish more of us would choose to contribute updates, etc. -  it's all interesting.

Our mothers (and fathers) define our world for ever so long, Marsha.  I am happy that your mother was with you so much of your life but sorry she is gone now.   I still want to dial my mother to tell her my news though she has been gone nine years.  I still dream of my father though he has been gone nearly 40 years.  Best wishes and love to you as you celebrate your mother's life, ---Dru Smith Fuller

Even though it is somewhat early, I want to wish the "triplets," Beverly, Irwin and Shirley Hodes happy birthday. My limited educational knowledge tells me that if Beverly's birthday is Apr 15, I gather Shirley and Irwin will be celebrating their birthdays on 4/18 also.
