In Remembrance: David Dalton, M.D. (CHS Class of 1962)

Our hearts are with Barbara Dalton Warner and her family in this time of sorrow. Dr. David Warner, Barabara's brother died suddenly on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Dr. David Landress Dalton February 17, 1944 - June 20, 2012 Obituary Dr. David Landress Dalton died suddenly on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. David was born on February 17, 1944 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Sethur White Dalton and Elizabeth Landress Dalton. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, who loved him dearly, Suzanne Burns Dalton and by his children, whom he adored, Nathalie Dalton Coyle (Patrick), David Landress Dalton, Jr., Dr. Clare Dalton Dover (Patrick), William Wells Dalton, and Stewart Shuler Dalton. He is also survived by two precious grandchildren, Dominic Locy Dalton and Tessa Amelie Coyle, his sisters, Anna Dalton Overend (Bill), Barbara Dalton Warner (Porter), his brother, Robert... Dr. David Landress Dalton died suddenly on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. David was born on February 17, 1944 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Sethur White Dalton and Elizabeth Landress Dalton. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, who loved him dearly, Suzanne Burns Dalton and by his children, whom he adored, Nathalie Dalton Coyle (Patrick), David Landress Dalton, Jr., Dr. Clare Dalton Dover (Patrick), William Wells Dalton, and Stewart Shuler Dalton. He is also survived by two precious grandchildren, Dominic Locy Dalton and Tessa Amelie Coyle, his sisters, Anna Dalton Overend (Bill), Barbara Dalton Warner (Porter), his brother, Robert Sethur Dalton, his brother-in-law, William Shuler Burns, Jr. (Susan) and his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Burns. David was a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He trained in urology at Duke University and practiced urology in Jacksonville for 36 years. He served as Chief of Urology at St. Luke's Hospital from 1982 -1998 and as Chief of Urology at Baptist Hospital from 2000 - 2004. He served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Urological Society from 1988 - 1991. David was a founding board member of K-Life Jacksonville and served on that board for 5 years. He served his country as a Major in the US Army Reserve Medical Corp from 1970 -1976. David loved traveling with Suzy and they just returned two weeks ago from a Pilgrimage to the Holy Lands. David walked where Jesus walked then, and he is walking with Jesus now. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 25, at 9:30 AM, in Evergreen Cemetery(Gate#5 located off of Winona Drive), followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30am at Christian Family Chapel, located at 10365 Old Saint Augustine Road Jacksonville, FL 32257.
