In memoriam: Rosemary Carolyn Lovell Roden

Worked For Hancock Fabrics And The Radio Clinic

Rosemary Carolyn Lovell Roden, 67, of Ooltewah, died on Friday, January 9, 2009 at her home.

A Chattanooga native, she graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1959, and McKenzie Business College. She was of the Baptist faith and loved nature. Over the years, she was employed by Franklin Process, Hancock Fabrics, and The Radio Clinic.

Surviving her are her husband, Eldred Morris Roden Jr., Ooltewah; three daughters, Susan Elaine (Murry W.) Casey, Sharon Denise (Timothy W.) Smith, Stacie Lynn (Donald D.) Benjamin, all of Chattanooga; brother, Charles Edward (Betsy) Lovell of Lexington, S.C.; sisters, Linda Gail (Mickey) Cobble and Tommie Lou (Ron) Rogers, both of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Duane Mills officiating.

Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East., with Pastor Morty Lloyd conducting the committal service and the Rev. Duane Mills playing the bagpipes.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Snodgrass, Jerry Wells, Adam Smith, Dylan Smith, Steven Cobble, Michael Cobble, Troy Keith.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and from 4-8 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
