Marianne Burnett Wilkerson, 61, of Signal Mountain, died on Friday, September 5, 2008. She was born in Ponca City, Ok., on September 22, 1946. She met and married the love of her life Robert “Bob” Wilkerson, in 1966.

They then moved to Atlanta, Ga., where they resided for 35 years. She retired from OB-GYN of Atlanta. They had been residents of Signal Mountain for the past seven years and are members of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Wilkerson is survived by her beloved husband, Bob; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lori Wilkerson of Dallas, Tx.; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Susan Wilkerson of Signal Mountain; four grandchildren, Faith, Lindy Anne, Jolie, and Laine; her parents, Paul and Marjorie Burnett; and brother, David Burnett of Ft. Worth, Tx.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Marr Chapel at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. Burial will be private at National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Teen Challenge or the Chattanooga Food Bank. Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
