Dear Friends,
A heartfelt thank you for your thoughts and prayers during Hurricane IKE. We felt your love and concern through the long hours. We are safe and unharmed. We lost our fence and one tree, but our home itself seems o.k. We are awaiting return of electricity to our neighborhood. I have renewed respect for our pioneers. Having purchased a generator and a window A/C unit following Rita three years ago, we feel blessed to have a few comforts. I have missed internet access, but I found it at a local cafe this morning. It is a comfort to know that old friends truly are stars in the sky. Thank you for being there!
