CHS '59ers:  Get on Track

Danny Anderson had...wonderful tenor voice. We had such fun singing for the CHS Class of '59 Reunion.  He was a great Raoul from Phantom of  the Opera.  His spirit will remain with us always.

from Betty Anderson Dunn
Danny (Anderson) was in my Homeroom at City High School. What a great time we had in there. Miss Bates did the best she could, but we were so bent on mischief (and Danny was heading the pack) that she had trouble keeping the proper classroom order. What a sweetheart Danny was. I'm glad he's Home and no suffering. My prayers are with the Family.

Danny was my best friend during our three years at Chattanooga High School. He always kept us laughing. We were in "G" Company, Second Platoon, our Sophomore year and Danny would always tell us: "Alright, listen up you guys. This is "Big Dan" speaking and I am running this outfit. You take your orders from me!". Danny and I stayed close to each other for the next 52 years and never concluded a conversation without saying: "I Love You". Danny knew more about members of our class than did anyone else. He was responsible for the beginning of our class reunions. So long my dear friend. I love you. David

from David Parker:  Hamilton County Herald article

"The (Herald) sketch then gets to the heart of who (Richard) Buhrman is:  a man committed to making a positive contribution to his community. The final page-and-a-half of the document lists 27 ways Buhrman has made a difference. From serving as scoutmaster of Troop 172, to donating his talents to the Community Kitchen, to being active at St. Jude Catholic Church as a lector and Eucharistic Minister, Buhrman has been generous with his time.
