CHS '59ers for June 25

CHS '59ers:  Get on Track!                                                                            June 25, 2011  Featured thoughts  Linda McKinney  Jim and I went to Dan's visitation and enjoyed meeting his precious 96 y/o Mother who is still sharp as a tac. Carolyn was very gracious as well as his children and grandchildren. So glad Dan is at peace now and as Carolyn said he is singing with the angels. Sharon Barker Tunnell  The Class of 1959, Chattanooga High School, always will remember our Danny. He worked diligently and faithfully through these many years to keep our class connected. He and Carolyn are greatly loved by all of us.. J D Barton   I remember Danny so well from our days at CHS. He was a friend to all he ever met, and that warm smile was always there. Because I moved away right after graduation, I lost track of most of the classmates, but when I went to the 30th reunion in '89, Danny was there to greet me, and it was just like nothing had changed over the years. This was a fine man, and he will be missed by many. David Young Parker  Danny was my best friend during our three years at Chattanooga High School. He always kept us laughing. We were in "G" Company, Second Platoon, our Sophomore year and Danny would always tell us: "Alright, listen up you guys. This is "Big Dan" speaking and I am running this outfit. You take your orders from me!". Danny and I stayed close to each other for the next 52 years and never concluded a conversation without saying: "I Love You". Danny knew more about members of our class than did anyone else. He was responsible for the beginning of our class reunions. So long my dear friend. I love you.
