Dru,
If you could open and attach photo's to bio I would appreciate. You are doing a great job with this blog, it's fun to read. Thanks.
After graduation like a lot of us locals, I went to University of Chattanooga for 3 years for my pre-dental requirements. In 1962 I went to UT Dental School in Memphis and 1965, received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. I married in 1963 and unfortunately that didn't work out, but had two great children, my son Andy, who is a Radiologist practicing in Atlanta, he has a daughter Olivia age 2 and a daughter Shelley who lives in Portland Oregon, who has twins, a boy and girl age 8, Avery and Sydney, all but Olivia are in our six flag picture.
After graduating UT, I served 2 years active duty 1965-1967, as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy attached to the 3rd Marine Air Wing at El Toro, California, just south of L.A. and did TAD at the U.S. Naval Academy and Camp Pendelton in Marine training, Semper Fi. In 1967, I did my postgraduate work in Endodontics at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago and finished in 1969.
In 1969, I entered private practice in Endodontics in Atlanta, Ga. and also served as clinical instructor at the Emory School of Dentistry for 4 years. After 35 years, I hung it up and retired and have had several consulting positions to keep involved. I enjoy my life in Atlanta and stay pretty active in sports, as you can see in above photo playing golf in Las Vegas last week and life in general.
It's going to be great catching up with people I haven't seen or thought of in a long time. I am sure there are going to be friends I will not recognize and those who don't recognize me.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have worked very hard on organizing this reunion and Dru for this great Blog site.
P.S. I Finally found my Wonder Woman. See the above picture.
Ben Tyber
