Fellow Classmates,
As I have told you before, this is the first class of '59 reunion I have known about. My mother moved and had remarried, I acquired a married name, and we moved from Knoxville to Augusta, GA, to Chattanooga to Alcoa to Birmingham, AL, to Charlotte, NC, to Huntington, Long Island, NY, to Carmel, IN. It's hard to keep up with someone through all that. Living in Indiana, I have not felt compelled to drive the distance to attend the planning meetings, even though I have wished to be there. Maybe because I answered email when I worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant, I look several times a day at email now and will continue to do so after the reunion. The fact that I like email and have unlimited minutes on my cell phone, it has made it convenient for me to look for lost classmates and call classmates to ask for their email addresses and to tell them about the blog that Dru was so clever to set up for us. Therefore, you have seen my name often as I sent reports on the blog. The one thing I have felt the sense of from all the contacts I have made is that we do indeed have a class of wonderful people. I have felt the excitement when I have talked with classmates even though I wondered if they even know my name when we were in school. So, if you are feeling a bit shy about attending with people you have not seen for years, you should get over it. You are going to have a wonderful time I just know it.
See you soon,
Louella Cherry Spencer
